🍲slopdetector🍲

slopdetector is a provider-based PHP helper and MCP server for AI-text and plagiarism detection.

the first provider is Pangram. additional providers can implement the small Provider interface without changing the public PHP or MCP API.

slopdetector requires PHP 8.5 or newer.

installation

configuration

copy .env.example to .env or provide the same variables through the process environment:

the API key is sent only in Pangram's x-api-key request header. text and files are transferred to Pangram for analysis. public dashboard links are disabled unless explicitly requested.

models are discovered dynamically. analyzeText() and submitBulk() deliberately require an explicit model so the integration remains valid when Pangram makes model selection mandatory after September 30, 2026. Pangram's file endpoint currently uses its server-side default model and therefore has no model argument.
