After the download, you have to make one include require_once('vendor/autoload.php');. After that you have to import the classes with use statements.

If you use only one package a project is not needed. But if you use more then one package, without a project it is not possible to import the classes with use statements.
In general, it is recommended to use always a project to download your libraries. In an application normally there is more than one library needed.

What it does
Registers Stackstra\Laravel\StackstraServiceProvider, auto-discovered by Laravel.
- Syncs
Stackstra\Etc\Debugwith your app'sconfig('app.debug')setting, so STACKSTRA's debug-only behavior follows your environment automatically. - Binds
Stackstra\Lock\Lockas a singleton, resolvable via the container. The lock file path can be set withconfig('stackstra.lock_path')(e.g. in your app's ownconfig/services.php); it falls back tostorage_path('app/stackstra.lock')if unset. No config file is published by this package.
