  • Simplify your Composer build process. Use our own command line tool to download the vendor folder as binary. This makes your build process faster and you don't need to expose your credentials for private repositories.

Installation

composer require --dev phpexperts/dockerize-php8

# If you want nginx + PHP-FPM and/or mysql/mariadb/postgres/redis:
php vendor/phpexperts/dockerize-php8/install.php

Configure your PATH

Ensure that your profile PATH includes ./vendor/bin and that it takes priority over any other directory that may include a php executable:

PATH=./vendor/bin:$PATH

Running

Run as normal.

If you want xdebug support, do this:

export PHP_VERSION=8.0-debug

If you want to revert back to your built-in version of PHP, do this:

export PHP_VERSION=native

It will then use your system-level PHP.
