+TITLE: WikiToLDAP

+SUBTITLE: An extension to help migrate wiki users to an LDAP-backed account

The initial development of this extension was funded by [[https://www.osgeo.org/][The Open Source Geospatial Foundation]] to help migrate their wiki users from MediaWiki-only user accounts to their centralized, LDAP-backed [[https://www.osgeo.org/community/getting-started-osgeo/osgeo_userid/][OSGeo Services UserID]]. The intent is to merge existing wiki accounts with LDAP-backed accounts using the [[https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:UserMerge][UserMerge extension]]. There are two SpecialPages to handle this: Special:WikiUserMerge and Special:LDAPUserMerge. +end_src

After this, you'll need to enable the extension by adding the following to your =LocalSettings.php= file:

+begin_src php

wfLoadExtension( 'WikiToLDAP' );

+end_src
