Installation
Install the bundle with Composer or through the Contao Manager:
Then update the Contao database schema and clear the application cache.
Configuration
- Open KI → Medienhinweise in the Contao backend.
- Create a configuration or edit an existing one. The newest configuration is active.
- Select a PNG, WebP or SVG watermark.
- Set its width, position, margin and opacity.
- Open an image in the file manager and enable the AI image checkbox.
- Save the file record. AI Image Marker regenerates the image automatically.
Disabling the checkbox restores the protected original. Backups are stored below var/ai-watermark-originals; this path is intentionally retained for compatibility with earlier releases.
Batch processing
Use the included command to process marked files in batches:
Increase the offset for subsequent batches. Always test bulk processing on a staging copy first.
The backend button processes all marked images synchronously. For several hundred images, use the batch command to avoid web-server execution time limits. Responsive image caches are purged once after a successful backend run.
Supported metadata
AI Image Marker writes an AI-content notice to JPEG IPTC, PNG text or WebP XMP metadata, depending on the image format. Some web services and image optimizers deliberately strip metadata during delivery; the original file managed by Contao remains the authoritative source.
