Folders show up as tiles in the media grid, next to the files. Open one to see what is inside. The same bar is there in the media modal (featured image, gallery, and any screen that uses the media library).
What it does
- Breadcrumb (
Rootis labeled Racine in the current interface) and an Add folder button in the toolbar. - Click a folder to rename or delete it. Double-click to open it.
- Drag a file or a folder onto a folder tile, or onto the breadcrumb, including the root.
- Deleting a folder does not delete media. Files go back to the root. Nested folders are removed.
- New uploads go into the folder you are viewing. You can pick another destination before uploading.
- The same behavior is available in the media modal, on the Media Library tab.
The admin interface is in French for now.

- Copy this directory to
wp-content/plugins/media-folders. - In Plugins, activate Media Folders.

Les dossiers apparaissent comme des vignettes dans la grille, à côté des fichiers. On ouvre un dossier pour voir son contenu. La même barre est présente dans la fenêtre de choix d’un média (image mise en avant, galerie, et tout écran qui ouvre la médiathèque).
Ce que fait l’extension
- Fil d’Ariane (Racine) et bouton Ajouter un dossier dans la barre d’outils.
- Un clic sur un dossier permet de le renommer ou de le supprimer. Un double-clic l’ouvre.
- On glisse un fichier ou un dossier sur une vignette, ou sur le fil d’Ariane, y compris la racine.
- Supprimer un dossier ne supprime pas les médias. Les fichiers reviennent à la racine. Les sous-dossiers disparaissent.
- Un envoi part dans le dossier ouvert. On peut choisir une autre destination avant d’envoyer.
- Le même comportement est disponible dans la modale, onglet Médiathèque.
L’interface d’administration est en français.
