Texy converts plain text in easy to read Texy syntax into structurally valid (X)HTML. It supports adding of images, links, nested lists, tables and has full support for CSS. You may wish to store a larger option value than is recommended on WordPress.com. Failure to do this could result in the option not being cached, and instead fetched repeatedly from the DB, which could cause performance problems.
